Snow & Ice dyeing is all the rage in fabric dyeing circles! Random, playful and multi-colored direct dye application creates beautiful crystallized images on fabric. 2026 BOM (Block of the Month)

This year's BOM honors one of our founding members Doris Krake. There will be 12 blocks, each measuring 12" x 12" finished.

Barbara Olinger will provide the patterns for 2 blocks each month May through October. Patterns are available here, on this page, only.

For each of the blocks, Barbara will also provide a copy of Doris Krake's own pattern, which was written for use with templates (pre-rotary cutter) and the block's history.

At the March, 2027 meeting, your name will be entered into a drawing IF your quilt is complete - label included. One name will be drawn. Prize will be a gift certificate to a quilt shop of your choice.
